Amite High Magnet School was awarded a $50,000 grant to create a STEM classroom of the future on campus. The grant was applied for my Ms. Tomyka Muse. NextEra Energy is the benefactor. Check out the video above for highlights of the award presentation!

The Tangipahoa Parish Library offers a superb Summer Reading Program for the children in our community. Check out their full schedule and mark your calendars now! Finding engaging ways to keep your children tuned into literature during the summer months will help to bridge the gap of learning.
INDEPENDENCE—After more than a decade of talks and planning, the Tangipahoa Parish School System will open their long-sought Advanced College and Career Magnet Center in the heart of the parish.

Class, Character, & Integrity
Art students in Mrs. King's class created origami birds for their Peace Crane project and Youth Art Month extension posters to promote peace campus-wide. The peace cranes currently decorate the campus and are a reminder to create peace on campus.
The Tangipahoa Parish School Board will hold a pre-service training course to become certified as a Louisiana School Bus Operator.

Beginning February 7, 2022, MESH BOOKSACKS are required on the Amite High Magnet School campus. Mesh booksacks allow everyone to more easily see contraband and will help our campus remain safe.
Mesh booksacks are on sale in the school office. The price is $10.
