Dear Warrior Nation,

     We are eager to celebrate Homecoming this year!  We look forward to a bigger and better event this year since this has grown into the "most talked about and envied" event of the parish!  With this said, please make sure that when we have our homecoming tailgate on October 25th, that you are acting responsibly.  This means ABSOLUTELY NO DRUGS, WEAPONS, ALCOHOL, FIGHTING, OR OTHER DEVIANT BEHAVIORS while on TPSS property.  We are only to tailgate AND to have a good time...that is it!  As I tell my students, please leave all "ra-ra" at home.

      Also, before you tailgate......., please make sure you participate....by showing support for our homecoming parade.  This year, we are working with the district to ensure that we give maximum time to prepare for our parade and have our parade to where all of Amite City can enjoy it and support our great kids.  Some options include a half-day of school on October 25th (as we have done in times past) or having a virtual day declared for all Amite City Schools on October 25th.  We are working with our great superintendent, Mrs. Stilley and our board to determine what is the best course to take.  Ultimately, it is their decision, and we will follow what they allow us to do.  When they let us know something definitive, we will let you know so that you, in Warrior Nation, can plan accordingly.  God bless you, and God bless THE Amite High STEAM Magnet School.
